12th Annual IIPG Pilgrimage 2011

Travel to Medjugorje for the Annual IIPG Queen of Peace prayer group pilgrimage. For those of you who have never been to Medjugorje, you will experience one of the most spiritual, and peaceful places on earth. One of the best descriptions of Medjugorje we have ever heard is: "Medjugorje is a place where Heaven touches the earth". After visiting Medjugorje we are sure you will agree. We will be in Medjugorje for the IIPG Prayer Group Anniversary on June 4th, and will celebrate with some special prayers and events.

We arrange for excellent accommodations at Vicka's oldest sisters, Mirjana Brecic, in Medjugorje, and will be providing a full and complete itinerary of events throughout the trip. We will have a local guide from Medjugorje assisting our group as well.

The visionaries in Medjugorje tell us that no one goes to Medjugorje by accident. We are called individually by Our Lady. What an awesome thought! If you feel called to go to Medjugorje then answer Our Lady's invitation! Traveling to Medjugorje is truly a life changing experience!

IIPG Annual Pilgrimage Includes:

Round-trip flights from the United States to Frankfut on Lufthansa, United, Delta, or US Airways, and to Split on Croatia Airlines. Transfers by private motorcoach.

Sample Itinerary:

Day 1 - USA/Europe
Depart the United States for your overnight flight to Frankfurt. Dinner and breakfast are served on board.

Day 2 - Europe/Split/Medjugorje
Upon early morning arrival in Frankfurt you will connect with your flight to Split. Upon arrival in Split, you will be greeted outside baggage claim by our local guide who will then accompany you on your ride to Medjugorje by private motorcoach. Once there, you will be introduced to our host family, Mirjana Brecic, and Stipe Ivankovic, where we will be staying for the next seven nights.

Days 3-8 Medjugorje
The beauty of this simple village is enhanced by the opportunity to share our faith with thousands of pilgrims from all over the world. Ana will accompany you throughout the week, and help plan your daily activities. Each evening at dinner she will post a schedule for the following day on our dining room door. Just some of the activities you will do throughout the week are:

Each morning at 10am we assemble at St James Church for the English-language Mass. Feast days and Sundays English Mass is at Noon.

We will follow the same path up Apparition Hill where the young visionaries first encountered Our Lady. Pray before the statue which commemorates the spot where Our Lady first appeared to the visionaries. We will also visit and pray at "Blue Cross", which is a very special place at the base of Apparition Hill.

If available, we will join Ivan for his public prayer group apparition at Blue Cross or at the top of Apparition Hill

At 6pm each evening we will join the villagers and pilgrims to pray the rosary. Be present in the church during the time of the apparitions at 6:40pm (although the visionaries are not present) and then stay for the Croatian Mass and the Blessing of the Sick. Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays there is Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament and on Fridays Veneration of the Cross in the church.

Depending upon schedule and availability, our local guide will arrange meetings with the visionaries at their own homes. We will also visit the addiction center Cenacolo.

We will have the opportunity to climb Krizevac Mountain, where in 1933 the villagers built a 30' high cross on the anniversary of Jesus' crucifixion. This Cross contains a relic from the actual Cross of Christ given to the villagers by the Pope.

Day 9/10 - Medjugorje/Split/Europe/USA
Depending upon flight availability you may fly straight back thru to the US on June 5 or overnight in Frankfurt returning to the US on June 6. Once we receive your passport name(s), and departure city, and request your flight schedule we will know your exact routing details and airline. Flights are very full at this time of year so if you would like to join us on this trip please contact us as soon as possible.
