This morning at 4:00am in Medjugorje, the pastor of St. James, Fr. Petar Vlasic died. May he rest in peace. He had been suffering from cancer. The funeral for him will be tomorrow at 3:00pm in Medjugorje. He was 75 years old and. He was a priest for 47 years.

He served as parochial vicar, Guardian to Medjugorje since 1999. He served then as pastor in St. James from August 2007 until his death.

There will be exposition, on Friday 9 November, at the parish church of St. James the Apostle at 1:00pm.

Funeral rites will commence with Funeral Mass on the same day in the parish church at 3:00pm.

Burial will be in the cemetery Kovacica where friar Fr. Peter will be buried.

pastor in Kongora since 1977 to 1983,
Definitor Province since 1981 to 1988,
Chaplain in Posusje since 1983 to 1985,
pastor in Ljuti Docu since 1985 to 1988,
Guardian and pastor in Mostar 1988,
pastor at Siroki Brijeg since 1988 to 1991,
pastor in Blagaj since 1991 to 1999,
associate pastor in Medjugorje from 1999 to 2007,
pastor in Medjugorje from August 25 2007, until his death.
