This book concentrates on the texts of the messages from Our Lady, which the parish has been receiving regularly from the Mother of God through the visionary Marija Pavlovic from March 1, 1984 to the present day.

The investigation consists of four parts. The first contains a short history of the events in Medjugorje, and the position of Church authorities. The second is a general analysis of the language of the messages. The third deals with the most important theological themes and concepts; an attempt is made to evolve a theology of the messages. In the fourth part, the political dimension of the message of peace is discussed.

The author, Marija Stelzer Dugandzic is a graduate from the renowned Pontifical Gregorian University in Rome where she received her licentiate from the Faculty of Theology at the University of Vienna. She is personal friends of the visionaries. She is the same age as the visionaries, grew up with them in Medjugorje, follows the same customs, speaks the same mother tongue, and is familiar with all the idioms and nuances of speech in Croatian - the language in which all the messages have been communicated.

Among the many gifts that Father Jozo has given to the pilgrims in Medjugorje, now we must also include this novena booklet dedicated to the thirty franciscan martyrs of Herzegovina slain by the Communist partisans on February 7, 1945.

This is a precious booklet, not only for its prayers, but also for its cultural documentation. It records, for all those who reach the Shrine of The Assumption of Our Lady, in Siroki Brijeg, the living aspects of the faith of a humble people, and of a small Catholic region of the world.

The fact that Our Lady calls is to a two day fast, on Wednesdays and Fridays, in its own way attests to a preparation for a meeting with the Eucharistic Christ. Thursday has always been a day of the Eucharist and the Priesthood. That is why the Wednesday fast, from the Eucharistic standpoint, is in preparation for Thursday, the day of the Eucharist. The Friday fast is in thanksgiving for the Eucharist and is a realization of the possibility of remaining with the Eucharistic Christ for an entire lifetime.

By worthily preparing for the meeting with the Eucharistic Christ at the Eucharistic feast, man prepares himself for the eternal feast in Heaven. In its own way, The Eucharist is the preparation and the foretaste of the eternal feast in the Kingdom of God.

The greatest grace received in Medjugorje is not only the recognition of the necessity for prayer, but the actual will to pray and a real desire to respond to Our Lady's call. Fr. Miljenko Stojic was born on June 1, 1960, in Dragicina near Medjugorje. He finished primary school in Cerin, and graduated at the Franciscan Classical Grammar School in Visoko in 1979. After graduating he joined the novitiate of the Herzegovinian Franciscan Province. He studied theology at several universities: Zagreb, Sarajevo, Jerusalem. He was ordained a priest in Mostar in 1987. He was awarded with a licentiate of Theology in the field of Christian and Franciscan spirituality in 1991, at the Papal "Antonianum" University in Rome. He is currently living and working in the parish of Medjugorje.

This film attempts to portray the Franciscan priest Slavko Barbaric who, for his entire life, tirelessly served Medjugorje. The psychologist with a PhD used his charisma and his almost inhuman energy to spread the Mother of Gods messages. The Gospa, as she is here called, has appeared to six seers since 1981 in Bosnia-Herzegovina, where Father Slavko was born in 1946 and grew up.

One day after his death, the seer Marija Pavlovic received a message that Father Slavko had been born into heaven and is praying for us there. This message comforted thousands of people who were mourning him. Father Slavkos path on earth has found its fullfillment in heaven.
