| In December 1982, Jelena Vasilj was just 10 years old. She came from a local family in Medjugorje that was very devout. The family had always prayed together and lived an active faith life. Jelena began to receive inner locutions from Our Lady at the end of December 1982. While the six visionaries could see Our Lady in three dimensions, and spoke with her as in a normal conversation, Jelena could only hear Our Lady's voice and saw her in a two dimensional interior way.
