David Parkes - "You Are Always Close to Me"

In 1989 David Parkes, having suffered from Crohn's Disease for 12 years and after enduring ten major operations, was given only weeks to live. But Our Lord and Our Lady had other plans. As a final gift from his friends, David and his wife Anne returned to the former Yugoslavia where they had spent their honeymoon. During the trip they visited Medjugorje, the "Oasis of Peace", and David experienced a miraculous cure.
